The Firm has been involved in the construction sector for the past more than 15 years having acted for the Ghazi-Barotha Contractor  (a JV of Impregilo SpA and Ed Zublin AG) for the construction of Ghazi-Barotha Hydropower Project (1450MW), Sinohydro Corporation of China for the construction of Gomal Zam Dam Multipurpose Project, the Civil Aviation Authority in the construction of the Karachi Airport, Jinnah Terminal, National Highway Authority for the construction of the Lahore-Islamabad Motorway, for the developers of the Creek City Project and the Creek City Hospital project and for IJM Berhad of Malaysia for the Karachi Elevated Expressway project.

The Firm has been providing services, legal and contract management, to construction projects of more than two billion dollars varying from construction of large Dams to airports, commercial buildings to highways, pipeline projects, refineries, thermal power projects, cement plants, and telecommunication projects.

The Firm is well equipped and placed to provide services in the wide ranging areas of the construction industry starting from bidding documents and drafting all forms of construction contracts  to contract management and dispute resolution (ADR) including arbitrations (domestic and international).

• Counsel for Ghazi-Barotha Contractor, Joint Venture for the construction of Ghazi-Barotha Hydropower Project. The Firm was responsible for contract management, dispute resolution (from Engineer’s Decision to Dispute Review Board), arbitration and the successful final negotiation of the global settlement of all the disputes between the parties.
  
  
• Counsel for Sinohydro Corporation of China for the EPC construction of the Gomal Zam Dam Multipurpose Project. The Firm was responsible for advising the contractor on termination disputes settlement with Pakistan Water & Power Development Authority, Pakistan. The Firm was also responsible for the drafting and negotiation of new sub-contract for EPC construction of the Dam.   
  
  
• Counsel for the National Highway Authority for the construction of the Lahore-Islamabad Motorway.  The Firm was responsible for drafting and negotiating all transaction documents.
  
  
• Counsel for the Civil Aviation Authority for the construction of the Jinnah Terminal, Karachi Airport. 
  
  
• Counsel for the Interstate Gas Company Limited for the Turkmenistan-Afghanistan-Pakistan Pipeline Project.  The Firm drafted the Implementation Agreement and various other concession documents.
  
  
• Counsel for Government of Pakistan and the Government of Sindh in the Karachi Circular Railways Project.
  
  
• Counsel for American Maglev Technology Inc in the Karachi Mass Transit Project. The Firm was engaged for drafting and negotiating various agreements with the Government of Sindh and the Government of Pakistan and the City District Government of Karachi.
  
  
• Counsel for IJM in the Karachi Elevated Expressway Project. Drafted and negotiated the Project Implementation Agreement with CDGK and all ancillary agreements.
  
  
• Counsel for the Pakistan Telecommunication Company Limited in the turn-key projects of 200,000 telephone lines throughout Pakistan. Negotiated various transaction and concession documents with Alcatel CIT, Siemens, Ericsson and China Telecom.
  
  
• Counsel for Sui Southern Gas Company Limited for the development of its transmission and distribution network.
  
  
• Counsel for the developers of the Creek City Project of the Defence Housing Authority in its infrastructure projects in Pakistan.
  
  
• Counsel for the developers of the Creek City Hospital Project.  The Firm drafted and negotiated the Implementation Agreement and other concession documents for the Project with the local authority
  
  
• Acting for the largest private construction company of UAE, Damac Holding LLC, in connection with theacquisition, development and sale of residential and commercial real estate in Pakistan. As the project counsel we advised the foreign client on all application laws relating to acquisition and development of real estate, foreign investment regulations, corporate laws and various municipal and land revenue laws of Pakistan.

• Acting for Emirates Global Islamic Bank and Eden Housing (Pvt) Limited in one of the largest real estate development project in Lahore.

• Acting Inturespa Pakistan (Private) Limited, a subsidiary of an Irish chain, who are setting up a four star hotel in Lahore.

• Reseires Dam, Sudan- Assisting Sinohydro Corporation who has been awarded this Multi Billion dollar project in Sudan in May 2008. We are providing assistance in respect of standard documentation, contractual notices, sub-contracts to be adopted by the Contractor during the term of the Contract for mobilization and contract management services in order to assist the Contractor in avoiding major claims and disputes.
  
  
• Acted as counsel to the project company Portia Marine Terminals (Private) Limited in the USD 78 million project of Grain and Fertilizer Terminal at Port Qasim.
