Mr. Naqvee concentrates on Power Projects and the related sectors.
Since 2004, Mr. Naqvee has represented a number of power projects, either as the project company counsel or as lenders’ legal counsel, including 14 upcoming power projects and five of the commissioned projects. These projects are based on major technologies i.e. oil, gas, coal, hydropower or wind; Mr. Naqvee takes keen interest in appreciating the technical and commercial aspects of these projects and technologies which gives the Firm’s clients an added advantage. His specialization focuses on all matters relating to setting up of an IPP including regulatory matters (PPIB, NEPRA, and SBP), Concession Agreements (IA, PPA, FSA, WUA), EPCC, O&M, Finance Documents, Lenders’ Security Package and assistance on key CPs to the drawdown. His portfolio includes representation of the upcoming IPPs with a cumulative investment of over Five Billion Dollars. Mr. Naqvee is proactively assisting one of the first large-scale power plants based on imported coal with an investment of approximately Two Billion Dollars.
In the past, he spearheaded the team that developed the Concession Documents for Power Projects in AJK.
Mr. Naqvee was admitted to the Punjab Bar Council as an advocate of the High Court, and is a member of the Islamabad Bar Association. He did his BA and LL.B from the University of Punjab.
