In the multilateral trading system, which promotes free and fair trade across boarders, the scope of global trade continues to expand. This multiplies the number and complexity of rules and regulations that regulates cross boarder transactions and the challenges that the indigenous industry may face while competing in the international markets. In such a rapidly changing environment, RIAA has endeavored to provide assistance to the domestic industries by protecting their trade interests locally through rationalization of import duties & taxes, incentives for exports and protection through tariffs and internationally through competitive market access.
The Firm works closely with its clients to pursue their interests before the relevant governmental agencies at the policy as well as legislative level. The Firm has successfully represented various domestic industries in the lead up to the annual budget and in matters related to import tariff including regulatory and customs duties.
The Firm also advises clients on matters relating to export incentives, market access enhancement and all ancillary matters relating thereto. RIAA has been actively involved in promotion of cluster based industrial sectors through funding from donor agencies.
